The Toymaker
A family festive show inspired by various traditional stories from around the world. Visit the Toymaker in his workshop as he prepares to go out on his deliveries. A storytelling performance, performed by one actor who skilfully animates various puppets and props to weave together all the differing stories to create a funny, anarchic, moving and beautiful journey through various cultures and makes for visually stunning theatre.
Tickets are free but you will need to book your place.
Textile Workshop by Make Good Arts
Join Make Good Arts for an interactive textile workshop.
Suitable for all adults, and children aged 10 and over. Children must be with an adult.

Sharing Stories Junior Book Club
Would you like to meet new friends, read some brilliant books and grow your skills and confidence? Then join our new book club for children aged 8 - 12! This group is for kids who like to read, or who would like to read more, and we welcome people of all abilities - this group is all about having fun and enjoying books, it's not about being the best or the fastest reader!
We welcome children with additional needs - please book onto the group and then contact us to discuss your child's needs so we are able to best support them.

Books Without Barriers: An Inclusive Book Club for Adults
Would you like to meet new people, socialise and enjoy stories? We believe EVERYONE should be able to experience the magic of books, regardless of their abilities or income. But we know some people find it more difficult than others.
This club is for people who find it difficult to read books for any reason - you might have a disability, language barriers, Dyslexia or low literacy levels. We don't need to know your specific situation, we won't ask you any probing questions or tell anyone else, and we won't judge you. This club is an inclusive, safe and welcoming space for people of all abilities to come together and enjoy stories, meet new people, have a cuppa and take part in lively discussions.

Beautiful free lunchtime concerts by students from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. There is no need to book, just come along and enjoy the music. Refreshments are available after the concert.

Parakeet Playgroup
At Parakeet, we are thrilled to announce our new art and nature playgroup for 5 and under, designed to spark creativity and foster a deep connection with nature for children and their grown-ups.
Hosted in St. Hilda’s community room, our playgroup is a place to play, connect with your child and be creative.
The playgroup is free flow and children can engage with whatever takes their attention. Our creative activities are set up inside the hall and and outside in the garden, so please wear clothes suitable for the weather, and be prepared to get stuck in!

A Winter’s Tail
The snow is falling and the solstice is approaching. Ratty is getting ready. She wants everything to be really rat-tastic! But will her friends make it through the snow to the winter woodland revels?
Can you help them on their journey? There’ll be excitement, adventure, play-acting, games, music, a splattering of silliness and lots of snow!
Led by Sidney & Tristan from The Last Baguette, A Winter’s Tail is a fun, relaxed play-along theatre adventure. Expect to play, move, watch and laugh.

Wonderland sees three performers surprise, intrigue and delight, blending live music, dance, audience interactions and extravagant costumes to conjure up a sack-load of festive fun.
