Who Are We?
Black Country Touring brings some of the best professional touring theatre and dance from the UK and beyond to the local communities of the Black Country (the boroughs of Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton).
For this project. BCT will be programming performances and workshops into community venues in Smethwick.
The Parakeet partner with children and families to imagine and create worlds of greater joy, play, nature connection and justice.
Parakeet and friends will be hosting family focussed art and play interventions, that centre play, art and nature connection.
Spectra will be delivering a programme of welcoming, creative workshops for people of all ages, abilities and walks of life. Through theatre, dance, music, nature and visual arts workshops, Spectra will be lifting people's creativity across Smethwick.
Check out the programme for the wide variety of activity from weekly open sessions like Make and Move for families at St. Hilda's and craft at Smethwick Library, to bespoke nature workshops for refugees and asylum seekers and visual arts with adults with learning disabilities.
